Looking For a Total Body Workout at Home?

If you're looking for a great, total body workout at home, then you should try bodyweight training. However, many bodyweight training programs seem to get extremely boring after a while. That is exactly the reason why most individuals stop seeing results from their at home bodyhappinesslifetime.com weight programs.

When your workout is boring, it's harder to stay with your program. And if you don't workout regularly, you stop seeing results. Hence, it's time to look past basic pushups, pullups, and bodyweight squats and search for some brand new variations you can start incorporating into your program.

I decided to do my own research and began noticing and learning more about how gymnasts, dancers, and yogis (people who practice yoga) move. These athletes have incredible bodies without ever lifting up a weight! I soon began to incorporate some of their movements into my regular training.

It just takes very simple changes in your basic exercises to start moving like a gymnast, dancer, or yogi. There are a lot of great exercise resources out there including ones on TV, the Internet, eBooks, and books. However, one of the best resources is something known as CST.

CST, or Circular Strength Training, is a system of training which focuses more on movement. Their bodyweight exercises are derived from Yoga, Gymnastics, and Dance. They even incorporate Prasara Yoga as part of their overall approach to total bodyweight training.

CST was developed by Coach Scott Sonnon and made popular by Coaches Adam Steer and Ryan Murdock. The main idea behind this unique training system is to cycle your training from periods of high intensity and low intensity training. But what I like most about it is there unique and effective bodyweight exercises.

You know what, speaking of bodyweight workouts, there's a great 3-phase fat loss system you need to check out called the Bodyweight Blueprint for Fat Loss. You can find out more information about this incredible bodyweight fat loss program on my site, workoutwithoutweights.net WorkoutWithoutWeights.Net.

Stability of Mind in Unstable Times

In these most unstable of times, one may find themselves increasingly anxious, stressed, worried or fearful. The mind presenting an even more immediate and lethal threat than that of the imposing strikes from without. Not only is the world stage unstable, with fear and threat of terrorism, but as well we face the challenges presented on the social stage in the form of racism, sexism, and economic pressures. Accompanying that, we face a barrage of unstable, confusing, and sorrow ridden relationships. And the health of the peoples of the world has hit new lows. Is it any wonder then that the peace of my mind should falter? One may begin to wonder, hopelessly, if there is even the possibility to remain stable in the face of such circumstance.

For so long as my peace and happiness etc are linked to and dependent upon things that fluctuate, accordingly my happiness will correspondingly fluctuate. If my happiness and peace of mind are dependent for example on the state of world affairs, the weather, my bank account, or the health or beauty of the body, then I will continue to ride the roller coaster of emotions intrinsically linked with these. My bank account rises and falls. I may experience illness, beauty fades. Weather can be unpredictable and violent, and relationships often start out full of promise and then as fast as they began, they suddenly turn sour.

Therefore if I want to experience peace in a permanent and unlimited way, I must link myself with the source that never fluctuates; the ocean of peace. The one that remains ever constant and overflowing. The one who has one desire, that we should be full and complete, full of such basics as: peace, love, happiness and power. Not the power to control others, but the power to control my own mind. To be as it were, self-sovereign. If I wish to see peace in the world, I must first be that peace. What after all, is the world made up of? It is comprised of souls. Not countries, not governments, not institutions, but individuals. Each of these is composed of souls. Peace, change, begins one soul at a time. This is not poetry but simple fact.

We have seen this for ourselves in our own lives. I once took a friend to a beautiful meadow atop a lovely spring mountain above Los Angeles. It was a most serene and lovely scene. Birds chirping, flowers in bloom, the sounds of sweet silence were broken only by the tripping of a nearby brook. We had come to watch the sun set. Before too very long, he was begging me to leave this place. The quiet was causing him great stress. The reason for this is a simple one and all too common. We believe that we would have peace if the setting or my surroundings were peaceful, but not so. The noise I wish to quiet is not without, it is within. It's all that noise in my own head which causes me sorrow and peacelessness.

This is why when my friend found himself plunk down in the middle of silence the opposite result occurred. This is the same reason why so many of us keep the radio blaring, or the T.V. running even if we are not watching it (or talk a lot). So many need to have constant noise. Why? Because, when the noise outside stops, I am then able to hear my own thoughts. And since I don't like the thoughts I am thinking I'd rather drown them out. However, until I face the self, I can never hope to enjoy true and permanent peace or happiness. I may experience limited peace/happiness for a temporary period but the off times are forever wrought with the price of my unwillingness, inability or courage to face myself. It is most essential then to re-train the self to think the thoughts you want to think, rather than the thoughts you're used to thinking, because the thoughts we're used to thinking often times cause us sorrow.

Consider for a moment, a common scenario. An event or circumstance may happen once. We didn't like it then, but we choose to relive it over and over again. It may be something terrible that occurred when I was twelve years old, but I still hold on to it, give it power and nurture it even now in my fifties! It's like picking up a hot frying pan. It burns, it hurts, causes you pain and suffering. Would you keep picking it up over and over again? Would you hold on to it? You know, stand there holding the hot pan and complain? "Ow, oh it's hurting me, I'm suffering"! Maybe you'd ask your friends for advice. What do you think they might say? "Let it go!" You'd let it go wouldn't you? I hope so. So then, why don't we let go of other things, thoughts that hurt us? It's just as easy, really. We just don't have much experience with it so it seems hard. We need to practice this just like we do anything else.

Nothing addresses our body and mind better than Yoga practices. Now you might be perturbed with the question that why would you opt in for Yoga classes while on vacation. The answer is simple enough; that is to enrich your experience.

Yoga classes are conducted throughout the week for beginners as well as advanced levels. The classes are meant to integrate the mind, body and your breadth through Yoga postures. Normally, the Yoga schedule is like this. A two hour rigorous class is conducted in the morning followed by a vegeterian lunch. After that, it is asked to take a tour on the neighboring delights of the city. You are let to explore every bit of terrain of the land, interact with local inhabitants and explore every nook and corner of the city in a better way. After a bit of relaxation it is time for the second Yoga round. The second Yoga round is usually shorter and lasts for about one and half hours. After that it is time for relaxation and it is time for relaxation.

Apart from those mentioned above they also provide self indulgent holistic messages that would ease off the tensions from your muscles and reward you with a more harmonizing yoga holiday. Apart from yoga, other fitness training classes include Pilates classes, Aqua aerobics, body balancing, fitness walks and runs. Most health clubs across Greece also provide you nutritional diet chart that would help your body maintain the right order of food balance.

How to Receive an Education in Natural Healing

Being healthy incorporates multiple aspects, which includes the physical, mental and emotional states of a person. The work conducted by natural healing practitioners is focused on this value by providing non-invasive forms of medical care to patients. Training programs are essential to not only learn how to receive an education in natural healing, but also enter careers.

There are a number of avenues students can take to receive the proper education needed to establish successful careers. Natural healing training develops the skills to use various therapies to heal the body. The focus is to promote the body's own defense mechanisms and allow them to heal ailments and diseases. The industry is known for focusing on the whole person by integrating the physical, spiritual, mental, and emotional factors of illness to properly diagnose patients and use the correct form of natural medicine to heal them.

To begin receiving an education, students need to first know what educational options are available. Natural healing colleges offer programs from the certificate to doctorate's degree level. Students can enroll in colleges and learn an overall understanding as well as choose a specific area of study. Undergraduate training at the certificate and associate's degree level provide students with basic skills. Certificate programs are a great start for students that want to begin careers in the field. Student's work through coursework related to biomechanics, relaxation techniques, and biofeedback practices. Students can continue training by entering associate degree programs or take advanced courses that focus on a particular area of interest such as massage therapy.

Bachelor degree programs establish the needed skills to obtain entry-level careers as well as continue into graduate training. This is an important distinction to make if students are pursuing careers that require graduate training. Areas of the field that require graduate study include:

Acupuncture
Chiropractic Care
Hypnotherapy

Students are able to gain the knowledge needed to continue their education if necessary. Training focuses on many areas such as herbology, nutritional counseling, yoga, acupressure, breath work, and more. Standard courses for programs incorporate the theories and clinical practices of various therapies used professionally. Programs are focused at this level to incorporate the physiological, technical, and psychological factors that need to be addressed to treat the whole person. Concentration areas can include training in hydrotherapy, electrotherapy, and minor surgery.

In depth knowledge is gained when students enroll in masters and doctorates degree programs. The function of the body is broken down to provide the knowledge needed to diagnose what type of healing treatment should be used. Masters degree programs focus on the theories behind natural healing medicine then have students explore how to diagnose and treat illness, anxiety, addictions, and diseases. Doctorates degrees programs develop overall advanced knowledge that can be used to enter careers as holistic health practitioners. Courses include massage therapy, ayurvedic medicine, cancer prevention, and iridology.

Students have many choices to choose from when pursuing careers in natural healing. To start the educational process students should choose accredited colleges that offer training. The Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine ( acaom.org acaom.org/ ) awards natural healing schools and colleges with full accreditation if they meet the criteria for offering quality training.

Yoga Solutions For Anger Management - Meditation Practice for Energy Channeling

Have you ever wondered how Yoga could contribute to world peace? How can Yoga meditation prevent anger? The keyword is, "prevent" because it is difficult to meditate when you have already become angry. Anger is as powerful as pain and can become an overriding thought. So, how can meditation stand up against the power of anger?

Over the centuries, many monks, priests, sages, gurus, and Yoga teachers, have taught their followers about the value of meditation for inner peace and logical thinking. Meditation starts with the practice of sitting quietly for a set amount of time.

Traditionally, we were taught to meditate for a minimum of 20 minutes - once or twice per day. At this point in time, the vast majority of people do not want to "unplug" themselves from electronic devices. The most common excuse for avoiding meditation is, "I don't have the time." Two more reasons for avoiding meditation are poor results and lack of stimulation.

Let's go back to the drawing board of Yogic meditation. If you are a beginner - instead of 20 minutes, try, at least, three minutes of meditation, every day, for one month. This is a personal pledge of just three minutes per day. If you write it down, or make an appointment with yourself, your chances of success will be higher.

Therefore, what does a beginning Yogi or Yogini meditate about? Here is an easy concept: Just observe your breathing and follow your breath mentally. Do not try to control or judge your breathing, at all. You should continue to practice this for a few minutes per day over the course of a month.

After one month, you will make this simple form of "Yogic Breath Awareness Meditation" into a regular habit. Do you have to lengthen your meditation sessions after the first month has passed? Not unless you want to, but my guess is you will want to.

One benefit that is absolutely guaranteed: Regular Yogic meditation is preventative medicine for anger, stress, anxiety, and a multitude of emotional problems. It may not help you in the "heat of battle," but it will prevent battles from taking place.

Face Training With Nintendo DS and Yoga

News has been filtering through about a new release for the NDS in time for the Christmas market. Get your wallet ready as this may just prove to be a winner in the Christmas present stakes.

Nintendo have finally decided to bring their Face Training to the European market and it's been a long time coming, Japan have been lucky enough to have had it for three years already.

The idea of the Nintendo DS Face Training is to use techniques designed and used for face yoga to improve circulation to the facial muscles and therefore increase blood flow and the flow of oxygen to the facial tissue. The game will help to reduces lines and wrinkles and work towards relaxing your face enough to prevent your frown from forming and bettering the tone of your skin.

The previous hit with the Nintendo DS was Brain Training with the Nicole Kidman launching the advertising campaign. This time it will be the likes of Zoe Ball, Fern Britton and Julie Walters who will front the campaign and encourage us to join the new craze. The official spokesperson for this campaign will be Danielle Collins a renowned Yoga teacher and the UK's leading Face Yoga expert.

NDS Face Training will have you looking at the one half the screen where there will be a teacher demonstrating the movements that you should make to achieve the goals. On the other side you will use the handheld touch screen be able to view yourself with the aid of a camera so that you can watch yourself perfecting the exercise. The aim will be to create a mirror image of the face of the instructor.

Nintendo will be releasing at the same time a camera that will be able to be retrofitted to the NDS by fixing into the GBA slot. This I can only imagine will bring on a new influx of games and training to increase and revitalise their hold on the market.

If you're interested in the NDS Face Training to improve your skin tone then you should also be thinking of protecting your skin against the harmful effects of the sun. Invisible Zinc Sunscreen produces a really great range of sun blocks that are a physical barrier to the aging effects of the sun. This is different to the majority of sun protection as they are normally a physical barrier, meaning that the harmful energy is absorbed into the sun block. Invisible Zinc uses micro particles of zinc as a protective layer over the skin to block the sun rays.

How You Can Learn to Love Exercise

Fitness training should be an essential part of your daily life. It doesn't matter what kind of physical shape you're in. If you have an obvious weight problem, you should definitely start working out. But even if you have a regular physique, it can't hurt you to drop by the gym once in a while. In fact, you should do so regularly. A good fitness routine will enable to live a longer life and stay healthy well into your old age. It will also lower your chances of being victim to heart disease or respiratory failure in the future.

Of course, you have probably resolved to exercise regularly before. You made your new year's resolution, bought the weights or equipment, or signed up at your local health club. But like many people, you found exercising to be a pain, and in time you quit. But you surely know some people who seem to live for exercise. They actually love it! How on earth is that possible? Well, you too can grow to love your fitness routine. You just have to design it in the right way so you enjoy it.

For example, I have a strong fondness for martial arts. Thus I have incorporated my interest in my fitness program, with a regular session devoted to martial arts techniques. It gives me a good cardio-aerobic workout, as well as developing my skills in self defense. You should follow my example and align your workout program with your interests. That might be swimming, biking, hiking, roller blading, rock climbing, boxing, squash, badminton, even dance or yoga... the list goes on.

You will also enjoy your workouts more if you better understand how they are helping you. If you just get into weight training without knowing why you are grunting over tiresome loads, you will probably give it up eventually because it all seems senseless to you. What you need is a basic understanding of how weight training works to build up your muscles. Lifting weights puts pressure on your muscle fibers, and actually causes them to tear. But your body is resilient and it will grow back the damaged fibers, only they will be bigger and stronger.

That kind of knowledge will really help your training, especially in cases where you find that you're not getting the results you want. To give you an example, I used to follow a fitness program that was aimed at building up my chest, but I wasn't seeing any result. So I did a little research and soon learned that I was actually training too hard. I changed my program so that I had longer rest periods--at least a day and often two--between my chest-building workout sessions. I needed to give my body more time to recover and strengthen my muscles.

Don't give up on fitness training. If you're not having fun doing it, then make some changes. In time, you too will find exercising to be something you love.
