This is what makes it different from the typical yoga. One will develop better stamina, endurance, flexibility, and balance as his mind and body becomes one. At the beginning one may find himself adjusting to the style but eventually, with patience and dedication, he will soon get more comfortable and start to enjoy himself.

This style of yoga started in Calcutta, India and was passed on from generation to generation of masters. In 1972, when Bikram Choudhury first opened his studio in San Francisco he found that it was easier for his students to become more flexible and do more poses in the heat as compared to environments with colder temperatures. This was how hot yoga was born. Soon other styles of yoga followed like Ashtanga, TriBalance, and Power Yoga.
