Burn Fat Lose Weight - It Is Cool For Women to Develop Toned Muscles

Unless you have been living under a rock for the last decade, you will have probably noticed that women are getting in on the "washboard" tummy look. Male bodybuilders used to think they had a monopoly on the "six-pack" abdominal look but now women are getting serious about not only getting thin but also getting toned up.

Move over, guys!

Obviously, there are some women athletes who can't help look thin, fit and toned up - particularly successful women marathoners and the masochists who enter Ironman triathlons or the notorious Badwater ultramarathon in Death Valley in the USA.

There are also women who are putting their husbands and boyfriends to shame by taking up bodybuilding to such an extent that loads of women's bodybuilding events now happen around the world.

But you don't have to go to extremes or be a masochist to get thin and toned up.

The keys to getting thin and getting that "washboard" look can be found in the right fat burning diet combined with a good mix of aerobics, stretching and strength training.

Ideally, it is good to find an "all-in-one" program that combines instructions on a far burning diet as well as the right exercises to do.

Apart from aerobics, such as running, cycling, using a treadmill or doing lots of lengths in the local swimming pool, it is important to build and maintain flexibility, such as through yoga, as well as building or strengthening your body's core muscles - the ones that keep your tummy tight.

The Pilates Method of exercise is worth pursuing because over time this helps to tone up and strengthen your tummy, back, buttocks and legs, contributing to the positive effects of aerobic exercise and a fat burning diet to slim you down. Check out videos on YouTube where you can see these exercises in action. Better still, look for a good DVD program that you can follow along with.

Don't let up! If you are going to take this fat burning and trimming down seriously, you need to develop habits in terms of diet and exercise that will help maintain your cool new look. Don't slip back into eating the wrong foods or back into being a couch potato.

Make your new diet a habit and make your exercise regime a habit and when you look at yourself in the mirror, you will not be able to stop yourself from smiling!
