Misleading Information About Weight Loss

There is a lot of misleading information, when it comes to fad diets, weight loss and supplements that do not work. The weight reduction industry is huge and people will create misleading information to there advantage. Let's go over a few of these misleading information about weight loss.

Weight loss experts agree that losing weight in a particular body part is not possible. Example, if you want to lose belly fat, you will have to combine let's say leg raises and crunches and also have to have a healthy diet, this way your metabolism is high and you will burn fat quickly.

The other thing that we are mislead about is, the reduction of calories will decrease body fat. Not True. This system of reducing calories drastically is called crash dieting. It has caused a lot of harmful affects to your body. When you starve your body it goes into starvation mode and your metabolic rate slows down and muscles burn up. In doing this your fat is going in reserve for emergency use, and you will have little fat loss and muscle deterioration, and when you go back to your regular eating habits your weight will increase.

Only cardio exercises will help you lose weight. Yes cardio by itself will help you burn calories, but it will only burn for the amount of cardio you are doing. The best and the most benefit is to add cardio with aerobics, pilates, yoga, and strengthening exercises. The most effective for weight loss is weight training because while you are working out you will burn fat and continue to burn fat even when you finished your workout it's fantastic for weight loss and tone.

I hope that this will help you towards your weight loss goals. Best of health and good luck.
