The Top Three Fat Loss Exercise Programs - Similarities, and Differences

Product 1, Product 2, which are featured on TV infomercials, and Turbulence Training are three of the top exercise systems sold today. Both Product 1 and Product 2 are produced by the same company while Turbulence Training is a product of Craig Ballantyne. How do they compare? Is any one of these programs superior to the other two? Let's look the components, the effectiveness, the time commitment and the cost and let you decide for yourself.

For the most part, all three programs are based on two principles. The first principle is circuit training. Circuit training involves rapid cycling of exercises. This method of training allows for building muscle and losing fat at the same time because the use of multiple muscle groups which causes the person exercising to maintain an elevated heart rate. Product 2 is exclusively bodyweight circuits while Product 1 and Turbulence Ttraining may include dumbbells, resistance bands, pull up bars, and stability balls.

The second principle that all three exercise systems have in common is muscle confusion. Muscle confusion is a term I really don't like because a muscle can't think therefore it can't be confused. I think that muscle inadaptability would be a more accurate description but since we are stuck with the term muscle confusion it means cycling or changing your training program so that your muscles cannot get used to the exercises. This cycling concept forces your muscles to grow quicker. This is accomplished by changing, number of sets, number of repetitions, exercise selection, exercise order, and/or length of rest periods.

As far as effectiveness goes, all three have great track records of being highly effective. If you look at photos of Product 1's 90 day results, Product 2's 60 day results, and Turbulence Training's 6-week results, they are indistinguishable. All three are highly effective at burning fat and building muscle. All three have meal plans. Though the two The same company products are "plug and play" DVDs, which is great for visual learners, 12 DVDs for Product 1, 10 DVDs for Product 2, Turbulence Training has demonstrations of all the exercises on YouTube if you don't know how to do a particular exercise. There is internet support for all three programs.

Next let's look at the time commitment on a weekly basis. Product 1 workouts are about an hour long. They alternate days of resistance training and cardio. Each resistance day includes an ab workout. Workouts are organized by body part. One yoga session each week that is 90 minutes long so that would make a total of 7.5 hour per week.

Product 2 workouts are an hour a day and consist of moves that are easy to perform. Workouts are designed to have longer, intense periods of exercise with shorter rest periods. There are plyometric drills, and nonstop intervals emphasizing, strength, power, resistance, and abs/core. Total time commitment for a week is 6 hours.

Turbulence Training combines brief weight lifting workouts focused on compound exercises with about 4-6 intervals of running, cycling or body weight circuits to burn a lot of fat while maintaining/increasing your muscle mass. Workouts are about 45 minutes, three times per week. Every fourth week routines are changed to keep losing fat and to avoid plateaus in your progress. Time commitment for Turbulence Training is 2.25 hours per week.

Finally let's look at the dreaded "C-word", cost. The price for Product 1 is $119.85 on the official site. On the official Product 2 website, the sale price is $119.95. Just so you know, DVDs are mass produced at a cost of only 50 cents each! The cost of Turbulence Training is $39.95 on the official website.

Let's process all of this information. You need to answer some questions for yourself. Assuming the results are going to be equal, are you a visual learner who needs an instructional DVD Product 1 and Product 2 provide, in order to be successful and is it worth the money to pay the extra $80 for it? If you are not a visual learner or are willing to look up the exercises you don't know on YouTube, pick Turbulence Training and save yourself some money.

Next is the overall cost. This is simply a numbers game.

Product 1 - $119.85 Product 2 - $119.95 Official Site - Turbulence Training - $39.95

If cost was the only factor, Turbulence Training would be the obvious choice.

Finally let's consider something even more valuable than money. That's time. You can always get more money but can never get more time. What is your time worth to you? How much time are you willing to spend? All things being equal again, would you rather spend 7.5 hours a week on Product 1, 6 hours a week on Product 2, or 2 hours and 15 minutes per week on Turbulence Training given the results the will be the same? Turbulence Training would be the answer again.

Though you think I may have a bias, do the research for yourself. If I'm wrong, drop me an e-mail explaining why and I'll apologize to you. But I'm confident that you'll come to conclusion that for results, time spent and money spent, Turbulence Training is the best value.
