Tips For Losing Weight & Fat Loss the Simple & Affordable Way!

Small Changes Big Rewards

Start by making small incremental changes in your attitude towards food and exercise. If you try to make large dramatic changes overnight the chances are you will not sustain it and will revert back to old habits. So by making little changes now and progressively making more along the way you will minimise the likelihood of a lot of weight and nutrition problems later on in life. Treat the process as an investment. Treat it as a way of loving and caring for yourself to enhance and prolong your life. If for example you want to save for a new car or house, you must start saving early. The earlier you start the bigger and better will be the returns in the future. The more you save the more you will enjoy. However the longer you delay changing the unhealthy eating and exercise habit the harder the effort to make the resolve becomes and the harder it becomes to reverse the weight gain.

Yoga and Meditation

Do not be sceptical or underestimate the power of meditation and yoga until you give it a go. Yoga and meditation have been important components of my exercise program and lifestyle in general. Yoga and meditation have provided me with several benefits and have minimised the time I need to devote to exercising. One of the biggest advantages of exercising with yoga is that it is not a grueling unpleasant experience unlike many other methods of losing weight. I find yoga is invigorating as opposed to feeling exhausted and depleted after doing cardiovascular exercise. Consequently my exercise routines do not involve any cardiovascular activities like running, cycling or swimming and have not done so for more than 20 years. Yoga is a very effective method to focus you mentally, provide stress relief, increase energy levels and can assist immensely in the weight loss process. Yoga is great for toning muscles, enhancing your strength and flexibility and improving your mental and physical well being.

Weight Training

Weight or resistance training is very effective for weight loss and you don't have to use heavy weights to achieve great results. Firstly training with weights will help strengthen bones and muscles and will provide your body with more tone and definition. Secondly by developing more lean muscle through weight training the faster your body will be able to burn energy. Consequently the faster you burn energy the more weight you will be able to lose. Also the more lean muscle you have the younger you will look and feel. Finally correctly executed weight training will enhance your posture, strength and confidence.

Correctly Executed Exercise

The quality and not necessarily the quantity of exercise is important. It is essential that you use the correct techniques when exercising whether you are in the gym or doing cardiovascular activities. When doing weight training breathe in and breathe out and use slow and controlled actions. Make sure your posture is correct, keep your back straight and feel those targeted muscles working. Correctly executed exercise will accelerate weight loss, enhance your strength and physique and minimise injury. It will help to distribute the correct nourishment to the targeted areas in your body and minimise the amount of time you need to devote to exercising. You can significantly reduce the amount of exercise you do. Stretching is also very effective for recovery during and after your exercise routine.

Correct Nutrition

Obviously good nutrition is essential to losing weight and fat loss. Get nutrition from a variety of food groups however do not overindulge in fat and calories as this is the major reason people gain weight. Also there is no need to over analyse food and nutrition you will only confuse yourself, if it looks fresh and healthy it most probably is. I never use expensive pills or potions as most of these just over promise and under deliver and leave you with a lot less cash. Filling yourself with fruit and vegetables (apples, grapefruit, berries, tofu, spinach etc) is far superior than snack foods and drink plenty of water. A good technique to prevent cravings for foods that are high in fat and calories and low in nutrition is to think about how bloated and sluggish you will feel after you consume. You will always feel far better following eating nutritious fruit and vegetables.

Imagine the improvement in your lifestyle you could achieve by feeling healthier, younger and more energetic. Imagine the improvement in your confidence, self esteem and relationships with family, friends and loved ones.
