Meditation Is Not Just For Yogis - Here's Why

First of all, let me introduce you about what the meaning of meditation and yogis are.

Meditation is a holistic discipline during which time the practitioner trains his or her mind in order to realize some benefit. So meditation is more focus about the mind.

Then, Yogis is someone who practices yoga, a traditional Indian spiritual discipline which includes meditation and spiritual exercises. So the reciprocal of meditation, yoga, is more about the body.

To get it straight, here are the reasons why meditation is not just for Yogis:

Meditation is easy to practice and learn

Unlike yoga which required lots of body arranging, movement and some of difficult poses, meditation only use the simple pose. Just sit down, arrange your hand position for the meditation you have chosen, close your eyes and you are set. As you may know and noticed, yoga is concentrate on body and the meditation is concentrate about the mind.

Like I mention in my previous article, meditation have 10 main benefits, there are enlightenment, peace and tranquility, wisdom, joy and happiness, love and compassion, stress reduction and good health, improving brain function, discover purposes and gifts, yogi and physic powers, and magnificence.
