How to Use a Common Sense Approach to Strength and Conditioning

Like clockwork, millions will decide they are too fat and out of shape and will attempt a weight loss or exercise program after the first of the year. Without a plan or an idea on what they want to accomplish, they fall by the wayside in a few months without really achieving their goals and objective. Chances are they had no real goals to begin with and were destined to fail before they even started.

Long term health and wellness through physical activity and sensible eating is nothing new. Many gurus tout the affects of the cheeseburger diet and couch potato program as a sure way to long term health issues. Your wellness program is just that, a program to gradually increase your endurance and conditioning through small steps and achievement of goals and milestones.

Your health and well being will only happen if you consistently follow a step by step approach in order to do any good. Starting small is a better strategy to mastering your goals in the long run and will help in preventing you from fizzling out in a few weeks.

Starting small with basic stretching and low impact exercises is a good way to get started. Try using resistance bands and a Yoga mat to begin your routine. Stick with basic exercises that will give your body a foundation to work from.

After working out and beginning to feel better and more confident that you are making strides in your program, you can graduate to other fitness tools that will increase your range and of endurance and conditioning. A Fluid Bike or elliptical trainer might be some equipment that will help you along your path. Cycling is an effective way to increase your stamina and lower your heart rate. A fluid or magnetic bike training system is easily setup in your exercise room to allow you to experience cycling through resistance and allows for a more realistic ride and beneficial workout.

In summary, taking a common sense approach to your health and training program will help you to keep you on track toward long term health through exercise and a balanced diet.
