Yoga - Body, Mind, Soul Health, Yofa - Body, Mind, Soul Alignment

Yoga is music for the Soul as it nourishes and replenishes vital fluids the body needs to sustain itself. The energy that arises from this practice is awesome. A day without yoga is a day without living! Yofa is yet another in-depth form of this ancient technique: The Yoga of Alignment.

Studies have shown that yoga helps individuals lose weight, strengthen the bones and assists to alleviate back problems, aches and pains. Also, researchers have found certain  poses have helped to unravel the mysteries of Alzheimer's. How powerful is that? It is an exercise for the body, as well as the mind. Stress can and is history when yoga becomes a focused daily practice.

If you think yoga is not a work out, think again! No, it is not easy. It takes focus, endurance, practice and vision to attain the many benefits that are realized when engaged in the practice over time. "Over time" is the key phrase that unlocks the medicinal uses of this ancient routine. There are many different forms ranging from gentle to intense and from stretching poses to more powerful breathing techniques to move energy throughout the body allowing the negative to give way to a positive force. At one time I read a review interviewing teachers and the same thing was repeated, in essence, from virtually all: Yoga attunes oneself to their body, calms the mind through the breath and meditation, and brings spiritual nourishment to the Soul.

What you need to ask: Is this practice right for you? It is slow moving; concentration and focus are needed to attain the benefits but focus and concentration are attributes that are developed over time. The practice is especially ideal for the elderly to enhance flexible and endurance as well as breath, for the pregnant the flexibility and breathing techniques assist with the birthing process. Then for the overweight people it revs up their energy reducing fat intake. It is a gentle way and the body will love you for it. No shocking the physical body just gentle movement. What would you give to wake up each morning unstressed, free of aches and pains, feeling calm and refreshed?

There is the feeling of clarity and serenity as it centers the mind, and the body becomes limber leaving behind those pesky aches and pains that will give way to flexibility, fluid joints, and liquid breath. Yes, I said liquid breath because yoga is about strengthening the body through stretching poses and the other component that brings all the benefits together is with the combination of the breath. When the breath is involved with focus, concentration, and stretching it becomes a scared experience. Thus, when you reach this feeling the practice becomes your internal dance.

I have practiced many forms through out the years. But mainly I focused on Kundalini  that uses an intense breathing practice called the "breath of fire", with certain stationary or movement poses to heat up the body from the bottom up, and eventually raising Kundalini, the serpent energy at the bottom of the spine, to achieve a feeling of high enlightenment. I do enjoy this practice and it has brought me so many benefits. But, one thing I have learned while experiencing life is when you become comfortable with the place you are at the Universe will stir the cauldron and materialize another form of knowledge you need to investigate.

As time has its way of moving on, the law of the Universe "Change" always rides the front as it manifests new ways on the horizon and I was introduced to a new kid on the block called YOFA training. What is this training?  It utilizes all the  benefits received from yoga to another level. It teaches methods of alignment as it provides a teaching through practices used to bring our personal incarnation into alignment with Soul to manifest our hearts desire. It establishes a connection to the Universal Life Force, a relationship as it were to the Divine. Outwardly, it  empowers your life as it capitalizes on your strengths and develops a sense of compassion for weaknesses fostering success and cultivates talents.

Have you always wanted to manifest your hearts desire? This practice embraces the creative, sustaining an awareness of what it is that satisfies your Soul unfolding in each moment. To really inspire the techniques of this system you will be open to all life. Loving your relationships with understanding, and enjoy what you have created in your life or change whatever aspect is not agreeable to what makes you happy.

Have you always wanted to feel in sync with your surroundings? YOFA revolves around the energetic alignment of the spine from the inside out. Here you can take your Yoga practice further, moving the energy in the spine through mediation. Mediation is the key here for healing because it promotes proper energy flow in the physical body. Also, through this healing process you will release any resistance that stands in the way of your progress. How about Spiritual awareness?  Do you want to experience a new level of awareness, overall healing, spiritual conscious, and oh, let's not forget creating a life you desire without the negative connotations thus, coming to terms with the past and moving on?   A method that helps you figure out what it is you want when you learn to listen to yourself, your Soul, and create that which you desire.

If this is something that intrigues you, please follow your inner urging and investigate more. Here's to your HEALTH!
