7 Reasons I Recommend the Wii Fit Plus

The Wii Fit Plus allows anyone to start an exercise program and actually have fun exercising. Here are just 7 of the reasons I feel the Wii Fit Plus with the balance board will benefit you.

1. When you take the opening physical testing on the balance board, you can get an idea as to what you areas need to work on. Whether you need to lose weight or work on your balance. However, I would not go strictly by what this tells you but it is a start.

2. If you run or walk on a treadmill, Island running or the Free Run make it a lot less boring than staring at a blank wall. My grandson and I have made a lot of custom mii's and it is kind of fun to see them when you are completing the course. I also like to try to beat my last time during the Free Run.

3. The virtual trainer gives you some good instruction as to how to do each of the strength training and other exercises. He/she also let's you know if you are doing them correctly or are maybe having some difficulties you need to work on.

4. The strength training exercises give you a very good workout. Some are harder than others but it is well worth it to work your way through all of them as your fitness level increases.

5. The hula hoop is a fun exercise but really gets your heart going. Riding your bike around the island is also fun and you will find yourself sweating as you try to complete the task. My wife is in a wheelchair and yet is able to so many of these exercises as well, including the Step and Kung Fu fighting. It would be nice if there was a better way to run the body test if you are wheelchair bound but there are a lot of good ways to get in an aerobic exercise while you sit.

6. I do power yoga but am not really into yoga per se, but the movements that are included here will be great for those of you who are into yoga or would like to learn more about it. I am trying a few of these moves along the way as well because they are great ways to stretch the body.

7. Finally it is motivating. Trying to increase your scores or beat your previous times brings out the competitor in you. It is also kind of funny that you want to get your exercise in so that when you start the program it doesn't tell you it hasn't seen you in three days and reminds you to exercise some every day. I read some other peoples thoughts about the Wii Fit Plus and many said the same thing.

As far as I am concerned, anything that gets people to start exercising in any way is a good thing.
