Burning fat and getting rid of those extra calories are indeed a challenge for most of us. We often think about how far is the gym and sometimes we don't have much time to go to the gym after work. If you are just starting with your weight loss program or you want to take small steps to change your lifestyle, you can actually do it on your own and outside the gym.
In the first place, the best way to lose weight and burn those fats is to change your lifestyle and change your habits, and once you start it, you will never feel you that you have to work very hard to lose those extra pounds.
Below are simple and easy exercises to lose fat. These activities are actually things that you can do everyday and at any time of day. If you spend a few minutes each day to do and choose these activities over slumping into the couch over a TV series or reading a book, for sure you can see the benefits of these simple yet helpful activities.
1. Walk. Walking is one of the simplest yet one of the excellent exercises to lose fat. You can choose to walk your dog on weekends, take a walk around the park, walk around the block, take a morning walk or take the treadmill. Walking does not only burn those fats, its benefits are endless.
2. Jog. Jogging is also a good cardiovascular exercise to burn fat especially those around the belly.
3. Take the stairs instead of the elevator.
4. Walk around the office. Spend a few minutes walking away from your desk.
5. Ride a bike. Like walking or jogging, cycling is also a good cardio exercise.
6. Do the housework. If you do not want to go to the gym but you want to keep your body moving, do the housework. Wash the dishes; clean the windows... just anything away from the couch and the bed.
7. Do gardening or mow the lawn. Make use of your green thumb to lose those fats.
8. Try some sports. If you want fun and exciting cardio exercise, you can try some sports or learn a new one. Swimming, tennis, skiing and other ball games can be good cardio exercises to lose fat and improve your health. These are also a lot more fun than other forms of exercises.
9. Do yoga. It does not only condition your body but your mind as well.
10. Try dancing. Ballroom dancing, belly dancing or any modern dancing can burn fats too.
11. Join aerobics classes. You can do it in the gym or at home with your aerobics CD.
12. Do crunches. If you want to lose those belly fats and tone your abs, you can do crunches after your cardio exercise.
If you move and do the things you enjoy, you will love doing it and of course, it will be easier for you to do it often and regularly. Of course, that does not include watching TV, reading or sleeping.
If you have an existing medical condition, always check with your doctor if you can engage in aerobics classes, some sports and other forms of exercises to lose fat.
