Daily Yoga Intended For Stress Poses

1. Chest expansion - This exercise is for anti-aging, mood raising and expanding one's breath. This exercise must be done with very good posture. From the seated or standing position, bring your arms behind your back and interlace hands. Pull arms from the body while pulling your shoulder straight down and back at the same time. Open up your chest center and breath heavily into your lungs. Trigger back muscles. Hold for five deep breaths - make sure to exhale completely. Do it again many times throughout the day.

2. Seated spinal twist - This exercise is good for your digestive function and can improve internal organ function. From a seated posture with legs extended, pull right knee in towards the body and wrap your left arm around the bent leg, look over right shoulder. Hold for 5 deep breaths, do it again on the other side. Breathing suggestion - inhale lift out of low back, breathe out twist over shoulder - wring your organs.

3. Knees to chest - This exercise soothes stress, anxiety, and even an upset tummy - while lying down, bring your knees to your chest, hold back of knees and sway gradually from one side to the other.

4. Lying down spinal twist - This exercise reduces lower back discomfort. With your knees pressed to your chest, hold right knee straight into chest while stretching out the left leg. Pull right knee above straight leg in the direction of floor - look over right shoulder. Breathe straight into your lower back. Don't pressure or press, just release and breathe. Hold for ten deep breaths then change sides. This move is best performed after running, walking or any aerobic session.

5. Inversions - This exercise includes shoulder stands or supported headstands. This move is great for anti-aging, and great for Jet lag and hangovers. With your knees to your chest, support your lower back with your hands, draw legs above head and then gradually towards the sky. While doing this, keep your core firm and engage your leg muscles. Next, keep your neck stationary, do not look around. Hold this pose for a few minutes. Release slowly by bringing legs over head and rolling out one vertebrae at a time. Go back to knees to chest to stabilize back muscle groups and straighten spine.
